Sometimes all it takes is a simple conversation.
I met this client while hosting a few open houses. The first was a listing on Kelley Road in Barre Town in March of 2024; the second open house was on West Cobblehill Road in Barre Town. We chatted, got to know each other, and I made a point to stay in touch. I wasn't trying to make a sale—I was just being myself and letting her know I was here whenever she needed me.
A little while later, she reached out and told me she was thinking about selling her home. We sat down over coffee, talked through her goals, and I shared how I would help guide her through every step of the process.
She also let me know she was interviewing another well-known local Realtor. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little intimidated, but I believed that being genuine, listening, and truly caring about my clients would speak louder than anything else.
When she called to tell me she had chosen me, I was incredibly grateful.
Together, we successfully sold her home by pricing it competitively, hosting an Open House, and it went under contract within 9 days.
I then had the honor of helping her find the perfect place to start her next chapter. We found her next home in Barre Town, which she fell in love with and was anxious to settle in. Her first improvement was to put up a fence for her fur baby, and in the spring and summer, enjoy her backyard gazebo.
This is exactly why I love being a Realtor in Vermont. Our communities are built on relationships, trust, and showing up for people. Every client I work with becomes more than just a transaction—they become someone whose story I get to be a small part of.
If you're thinking about buying or selling, I'd love the opportunity to earn your trust, too. Sometimes the best partnerships begin with a simple conversation at an open house. 💚🏡
