Kate is amazing!! As a first-time homebuyer in a really rough market, I felt pretty overwhelmed, but Kate walked me through all the steps and always got us in to see homes asap. When I finally found the perfect spot, she helped me make an offer the sellers accepted and provided lots of recommendations for other stellar folks to work with through the inspection and legal process. She is incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and has been a pleasure to work with.

She focused on what was important to me (ie. energy efficiency of my house), combining that assessment with her review of the house, her research, and the hiring of a professional photographer. I really enjoyed working with Kate and love the home that she found for us and helped us buy. I really appreciated her responsiveness, regular communications, and flexibility, especially since I was house hunting in Vermont from out of state which sometimes created logistical challenges. She did a lot of viewings with me on Zoom on her phone. I also appreciated how quickly she got to know what I was looking for, despite the logistical challenges, so we didn't waste both our time on properties that weren't suitable. I will probably sell and/or buy in Vermont again, and if so, I would definitely work with Kate again.

Kate Root is a business woman that can get the job done. She is a good go realtor to for an aggressive buyers market like right now. Very knowledgeable with the local areas and knows the history and news of the goings on.

She did a good job communicating what needed to be accomplished leading up to the sale. She also did a very good job negotiating a higher than list price for the property.
